Initial Evaluation and Diagnosis

To accurately assess Shelly’s dental needs, we started with detailed 3D tomography and X-ray imaging. This evaluation allowed us to identify several areas that required immediate attention:

• Overfilled Fillings: Some fillings had excess material, which risked damaging surrounding teeth and gums.
• Infections and Missing Teeth: Shelly had multiple teeth with infection, as well as areas with missing teeth, which impacted her ability to chew comfortably.
• Fractures and Loose Teeth: We noted several cracked and loose teeth, posing a risk for future complications.
• Bruxism (Teeth Grinding): Shelly’s history of bruxism was wearing down her teeth, exacerbating the fractures and loosening.

Through this assessment, we confirmed that dental implants would offer Shelly the stability and functionality she needed.

Customized Treatment Plan: Dental Implants and Extractions

Given the state of her teeth and previous treatments, some extractions were unavoidable to ensure a healthy foundation for new implants. Shelly’s customized treatment plan included:
